About Future Brain

Future Brain was an Amiga demoscene group focused on anime and manga culture. It was active during the 90s. I was part of the group in its later days. We were all based in Barcelona at the time.

We published Digital Fanzine, a digital … fanzine 🤪, distributed on floppies for the Amiga 500. It wasn’t very long-lived, though. We created only 6, and I actually took part only on that last one. Well, we started creating the 7th one but it never got released.

Here’s Future Brain entry in Demozoo, with a small list of productions: Demozoo / Future Brain

Games

This is only stuff I created. We were working on a JRPG but we didn’t get far (perhaps Dragon & Flovius continued it? We lost contact, so I don't know).

Disclaimer: Most of these games are clones of something else. I wanted to bring games that I had seen in Arcades to the Amiga… Basically I had no right to some of the assets I used, although I did draw most of the stuff in Deluxe Paint.

Coin'Up

This was a puzzle game I copied from a game I saw in a MSX magazine once... The coins were 3D renders by Ryoga, and I drew Sailor Moon characters using SD style.

PUZURE BOBURE

This was a clone of Puzzle Bobble I made based only in a couple of plays I made on the original arcade in a trip I made to Italy... So it was from memory, but I knew the characters from Bubble Bobble. Years later I found the original when it was released on Playstation 1

May and Yam

This was a clone of Pang! I made. Read about it in May and Yam: Origins

May and Yam 2

This was a sequel to May and Yam. The game play is no longer related to Pang! Read about it in May and Yam: Origins
